Senior Student Team 2024-25 Farewell Statement

As the 2024–2025 Senior Student Team of Herne Bay High School, we—Sacha, Harriet, Vanessa, and Morgan—would like to express our sincere gratitude as we bring our time in these roles to a close. 

Over the past year, we have been proud to serve as student representatives, working to support our peers and contribute meaningfully to school life. From organising charity events such as Red Nose Day and the Macmillan Coffee Morning, to planning student trips and helping shape this year’s 2000s Disco-themed prom—from the design of tickets to the final decorations—we’ve grown not only as a team, but as individuals. We’ve gained confidence in public speaking, learnt the value of listening to others, and discovered the impact that dedication and collaboration can have. 

We are especially proud of the money raised for charity and the support we were able to offer fellow students, whether by lending a listening ear or helping guide younger pupils through school life. Representing Herne Bay High at events such as Remembrance Day was a privilege we will not forget. We are also honoured to have contributed to the selection of the new senior students alongside Mrs Wrigley, Mr Boyes, and Mr Rob Buchanan. 

We wish to congratulate the new Senior Student Team for 2025–2026 and wish them every success in their roles. Congratulations to the Head Students, Katie and Megan, and the Student Deputies, James, Grace, and Mia.

Throughout every challenge and achievement, we remained a friendly, adaptable, and inclusive team—committed to listening, learning, and leading with kindness. It’s been an honour to serve the school community, and we leave our roles with gratitude for the trust placed in us. 

Thank you to all the staff, students, and Senior Prefects who supported us along the way. We look forward to seeing what the next Senior Student Team will achieve.
